SEKURITEIT/SECURITY:
Om sekuriteit by die skool nog verder op te skerp, is besluit om die groot motorhek in Agathastraat voortaan om 13:30 te sluit en die sekuriteitswag na die parkeerterrein langs Hermanusstraat te laat gaan. Dit impliseer dat toegang voortaan na-uurs net deur die klein hekkie in Agathastraat (tot 15:00) of die ingang tot die parkeerterrein sal kan geskied.
Veiligheid is by ons skool een van die prioriteite. Ons is bevoorreg met nog geen metaalverklikkers by ons ingange nodig soos by sommige stadskole nie, maar moet nie onverhoeds betrap word nie! / Security is one of the priorities here at our school. We are most fortunate with still no metal detectors necessary at our entrances like at some city schools, but we should not be caught unawares! Eerstens verbied skoolreëls enige vorm van wapens waaronder messe, skerppuntammunisie of leë patroondoppies. Maak u kind(ers) weldeeglik hiervan bewus en maan hulle om enige verdagte objekte onmiddellik te rapporteer / Firstly school rulesprohibits any form of weapons such as knives, live ammunition or empty shell casings. Please make your child(ren) aware hereof and motivate them to immediately report any suspicious objects in this regard.
Tweedens word die Grondslagfaseleerders wat vroeër verdaag beveilig deur as “wagkinders” in hul voogopvoeders se klasse aan te bly totdat ouers of ouer broers en/of susters hulle daar afhaal indien hulle nie dadelik opgelaai word nie. Menige juniors dwaal direk na skool op die terrein buite hul klasse rond en kan dus hul ouers se verantwoordelikheid geag word daar die skool se veiligheidsmaatreëls verontagsaam word! / Another safety measure is the Foundation Phase learners whose school day ends before that of the rest of the school remaining in the class of their guardian educators until picked up from there by parents and older brothers/sisters if they are not picked up immediately. Quite a number of juniors are wandering around on the school grounds out of their classes directly after school and can thus be considered to be the responsibility of their parents, seeing that they are not adhering to the school’s safety measures! Verbied asseblief u kind(ers) om by die straatsmouse enigiets te koop! / The problem with the hawkers on the sidewalk in front of the school is almost something of the past due to the school’s efforts to forbid learners to buy from them. Please assist us in this regard by forbidding your child(ren) to buy anything from these hawkers.
Laastens word die aankomstye van busse wat terugkeer na aktiwiteite taamlik akkuraat en skriftelik aan ouers gekommunikeer. Maak seker dat u betyds hier is om u kind(ers) in die veilige parkeerterrein op te laai! / Lastly the arrival times of buses returning from activities are communicated quite accurately most of the time and in writing. Please ensure that you are in time to pick up your child(ren) from the safe parking area!
